White Guy destined for the big screen
(The sale of the TV & Film Rights to Koster/Kovitz)

Vancouver, BC — February 18, 2009. Stephen Hunt's latest book The White Guy: A Field Guide, has been optioned for feature film development by producer Andrew Koster of Koster Kovitz Productions Inc. The White Guy, published in May 2008, is the ultimate insider's guide to the species responsible for almost everything that?s wrong with this world. In this tell-all exposé, Hunt puts in his anthropologist's hat and looks at what makes white guys tick: how they dress (not very well, unless you dig khakis with denim shirts); what they value (guns and being safe); how they communicate (coldly, at least with non-white guys), and many more humorous findings. Stephen Hunt — a very white guy himself — will write the adaptation for Koster Kovitz.
The deal was originally initiated during the Opening the Book on Film Conference held in Vancouver in March 2008. Both Douglas & McIntyre and Stephen Hunt were represented in the negotiation by agent Sarah Cooper of The Saint Agency.
